Interesting tips, thanks. Here’s a tip for your next video, never ever have your main light source above ,below or to the side of the subject. That kind of lighting is usually reserved for flat surfaces or special effects (really bad B movies from the fifties ). Your pretty face should be lit at eye level directly in front or slightly to one side and try not to be close to a wall (it casts shadows)

I use modern technology , obviously . But I believe in a “ limit ” when practicing primitive skills . Maybe a couple steel knives , cloth , steel pots , and very simple tools . I would never stuff my pack with things that eventually wear out ( like MRE”S or matches ) . A steel knife or pot will last years , and you can use those tools to make more tools , almost like a viscious cycle . Too each thier own though .
Well we kind of are. We are using what is given. If making arrows using glass is much better than flint, why? Cuz flint is harder to find. If you have something that will work better with less work, that is better because less energy is used to make whatever. You rely on modern technology till it isn’t available then you use the primitive ways after it is gone. Just because it is easier doesn’t mean it isn’t better at first. But yes after time you will need those skills, I agree.
People rely to much on modern technology for “ survival ” equipment . Learn primitive survival skills and medicinal/edible wild plants , and you can go into the bush with nothing but your bare hands .
